I was expecting a more distinct departure from the original formula. While it's true that this version leans more heavily into patchouli, the vanilla notes feel understated compared to what I had hoped for. Alas, to my mind, it's almost indistinguishable from the OG. While Mad is undoubtedly a timeless classic, Intense fails to bring anything substantially innovative to the table. Given how overexposed Mad has become, I'm afraid this new iteration won't be winning me over anytime soon.

A sophisticated, assertive blend of citrus, vanilla, and earthy nuances that consistently leaves a lasting impression. Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle Intense stands out as a top choice for me, especially when compared to the original Coco Mademoiselle.

Selling a nearly full bottle, the scent wears closer to the skin compared to the original, and I have a soft spot for the citrus notes in the OG; to me, its overall performance surpasses this version. 😊

I had never acquired a full bottle of Coco Mademoiselle before, despite having deep respect for the fragrance and loving its scent. For some reason, I always felt it wouldn't suit my style due to the citrus notes, which often don't agree with me. When Mad. Intense was released, I became intrigued by the amplified patchouli and vanilla, so I blind-bought a 35ml bottle for special occasions. I wore it to a party and loved it, as it stayed with me all evening; however, I felt the projection wasn't as strong as the original's. The added patchouli and vanilla in the opening are fantastic, but they somewhat diminished the "fizzy champagne" quality of the original during dry down. Of course, this is a matter of personal taste. Interestingly, after experiencing Mad. Intense, which I should have loved and found more suited to me, I developed a love for the original that I didn't know I had. This has been my Coco Mademoiselle gateway, I think! Still, Mad. Intense is a beautiful fragrance; if you find the original too sharp or loud, this might be a better fit for you.

This fragrance remains a staple in my collection! 💕
