Reviews

I was really looking forward to this perfume, but unfortunately it doesn't resonate with my body chemistry or personal taste. It's overly sharp from the start, with a scent that's more reminiscent of detergent than something luxurious. And to make matters worse, after three hours it's completely vanished - especially considering the price point and brand reputation, I was expecting at least decent longevity.

This perfume exudes an incredibly fresh and uplifting scent, reminiscent of a burst of citrusy greenery. Its floral notes are equally delightful, making it the perfect accompaniment for warm weather. I can almost picture Audrey Hepburn herself donning this fragrance with her signature style - think sleek capris, oversized sunglasses, and crisp whites, all set against the backdrop of a leisurely game of croquet.

I've had one issue with this fragrance - our rescue cat, Felix, didn't appreciate its citrus notes. He'd avoid me when I wore CEV, but once he got used to the scent, especially the magnolia accord, he began to tolerate my presence again. Perhaps it was also because he missed getting belly rubs from me.

I was taken aback by this perfume - I anticipated a run-of-the-mill citrus fragrance that could be substituted with a more affordable option. Given my collection of at least four vintage Chanel extraits and two EDTs, I should have known that Jacques Polge wouldn't let me down... This is truly exceptional, honestly... Universally appealing and stunning... The longevity is unfortunately short-lived, but what can you expect from a scent reminiscent of sparkling lemons and Alpine mountain air? It's not designed to linger; it simply needs reapplication.

I recently received a sample of this perfume, and my initial impression is that it's very refreshing with a prominent citrus accord. The floral notes are subtle and take a backseat to the citrus, which dominates the scent. In my opinion, this fragrance bears little resemblance to the original Cristalle, which has a strong green and herbal character. Instead, this one is more like a distant relative. While I do enjoy it, its longevity could be improved. Unfortunately, the lack of body products in this scent is a drawback for me, as I would have loved to incorporate them into my routine.
