Reviews

I wanted to appreciate this perfume, but unfortunately, it doesn't resonate with me; to my nose, it has a strong hay-like scent reminiscent of a barn, and I struggle to detect the vanilla or rum notes. Each time I revisit it, my impression worsens. The listed fragrance notes seem appealing, yet I'm overwhelmed by the tobacco note, which dominates everything else for me.

This scent exudes boozy, buttery, and sweet notes, albeit it is rather faint in its presence. Interestingly, it stands out as a standout among other offerings from this particular brand for me.

This perfume holds a special place in my heart as one of the first sophisticated scents I ever acquired and one that continues to draw me back for its unique qualities. It exudes warmth, a subtle smokiness, and sweetness without being overpowering, with the pink pepper adding a delightful sparkle at the onset. Notably, I'm quite sensitive to vanilla in perfumes but this one masterfully incorporates it. Although marketed as masculine, I believe this fragrance is equally stunning on women, lacking the harsh cedar note found in many men's fragrances yet maintaining an intriguing androgyny. Unlike other darker Margiela perfumes that overwhelm me with their dry down, this one shines from start to finish. Returning to it after a hiatus feels like coming home, and I'm looking forward to restocking my supply for the foreseeable future.

This perfume is delightful! I don't detect any smoky undertones or club-like scents, for me it's simply a sweet and vanilla aroma with a touch of sharpness that rounds out the sweetness. As it dries down, it settles into a musky, skin-like fragrance with a pleasant, unwashed quality. It would be a lovely winter scent to wear with a cozy wool sweater 😊

This perfume has a strong, cigar-like scent that dominates the nose, with a prominent pepperiness and tobacco note that overpowers any potential sweetness. It seems to me that this fragrance is not living up to its hype.
