A captivating aquatic aroma that has won me over, making it one of the top scents in my book. Upon acquiring a bottle, I found myself utterly enamored with its alluring presence, and I'm struggling to articulate just how much I adore this fragrance. My rating would be an impressive 9.6 out of 10.
This perfume has a distinct Bath & Body Works quality to it. While it may not be my top choice, it's not entirely unappealing. However, it does have one notable drawback - it caused me to sneeze.
I was thrilled when I read the notes for this perfume. It seemed like a hidden treasure! However, my excitement was short-lived as it turned into another marine scent that doesn't suit me. On my skin, it transforms into an unpleasant, sweaty note reminiscent of a wet dog, which is consistent with how most seaweed and marine fragrances behave on my skin, although I adore them in the bottle. Sailing Day is undeniably natural and evocative of seaweed, salty air, wet wood, and sun-kissed skin. I would love to see more floral notes, a stronger pepper presence, and an increased coriander component. Overall, it's no better on me than Tesori D'Oriente's Thalasso Therapy, which cost me exactly 5 euros, so...we have a winner!
The initial impression of this perfume is a familiar aquatic/calone fragrance, however, I'm left feeling underwhelmed as the scent dissipates rather quickly, leaving behind only a faint hint of powder. Unfortunately, the lack of longevity renders it unimpressive and not justifiable by its price point 😐
There's something about the initial impression that doesn't quite resonate with me. Despite the prevalence of salty and fresh notes, I'm bothered by a faintly fishy undertone that persists in the background. The dry-down, however, is an improvement and accurately reflects the perfume's name. To my nose, it evokes the sensation of a combination of sunscreen, sweat, and the ocean air on a warm summer afternoon.
