Le Parfum Eau de Parfum Intense

When selecting a perfume, it's as if I'm sealing a lifelong commitment: I vow to adore its essence, nurture its nuances, and let it be my signature. I've deliberated for a while before making this purchase, anticipating the perfect moment to unveil this scent. Today, my patience has paid off. I've fallen deeply in love with Elie Saab EDP intense and have no regrets! This fragrance isn't suitable for casual, laid-back attire; it's for a refined and self-assured woman who embodies strength, romance, and an unwavering sense of femininity.

I had to sample this version as well, naturally. Initially, I was hesitant due to concerns it might be a disaster like some other EdP concentrations I've encountered. Instead, I discovered an ambery fragrance that's dense yet close to the skin, with all notes muted and none dominating at 20cm distance. The appearance is reminiscent of a thick, syrupy brown liquid, evoking expectations of a luxurious oriental elixir infused with orange blossom. While it bears some resemblance to this, it's surprisingly subdued or perhaps overly concentrated, giving the impression that something has imploded. There's no rich honey or radiant orange blossom; everything is much more understated yet dense. The characteristic brightness often found in Elie Saab fragrances is noticeably absent here, suggesting a deliberate choice by the perfumer. To me, this EdP Intense is all about intimate, ambery warmth and wearing perfume for one's own pleasure. On my skin, it behaves in this manner. I'd describe it as a very ladylike scent with an old-fashioned charm. While it may not be what I'm looking for as spring approaches, I'll definitely re-try it due to its intrigue.

🌼 This perfume is designed for women who crave sweet scents yet eschew juvenile fragrances. Instead, it exudes an aura of sophistication and glamour befitting a refined lady.

The perfume unleashes an intense, upfront presence that gradually mellows out... yet I kept detecting a peculiar metallic undertone that really didn't sit well with me. Towards the end, patchouli dominates the other notes, sometimes overpowering them. On the plus side, it has excellent skin longevity. I have the Eau De Toilette version and absolutely adore it... my daughter and I concur... this scent is a bit more abrasive compared to the elegant subtlety of the Eau De Toilette 😊

This perfume holds a special place in my heart as my absolute favorite ever! Unfortunately, I made the mistake of not stocking up on extra bottles before it was discontinued, and it's now my most significant regret to date. Honestly, if anyone happens to have an unopened bottle they no longer want, I'll be forever grateful for the opportunity to take it off their hands 😔
