I purchased a sample set and this fragrance was an instant turn-off for me. All I received was a cloying, spicy sweetness that I could only stomach for a brief moment. I see Oud Satin Mood listed as a "similar to" option, which makes sense given the two share similar characteristics - they are both among the most unpleasant scents I've ever encountered. If Portrait of a Lady takes top spot in my least favorites, then it's likely that fans of these perfumes will appreciate this one just as much. Unfortunately, not me. On a more positive note, I do enjoy other fragrances from this line and ended up purchasing a large size of Loubimar alongside the sample set. The bottles themselves are stunning, making them beautiful works of art.
This perfume is quite pleasant! The initial topnote doesn't resonate with me, but it soon fades away and makes way for a cozy, rosy warmth. The base is even more delightful, boasting a woody, spicy, and baby oil-like scent that lingers for hours. It's better suited for evening wear due to its strong presence, yet the moderate sillage makes it wearable throughout the day. On my skin, the spicy, Arabic, oud, and tobacco notes have a tendency to smell burnt, but this fragrance is still enjoyable for me. Nevertheless, I think it's overpriced... 😊
The scent has a certain charm, yet it lacks distinction due to its similarity to another fragrance, in this case Fenty. I find myself drawn to Nefs for its more robust and captivating aroma.
I was introduced to this fragrance during Christmas 2021 and it has since become synonymous with winter/holiday scents for me. Its potency requires only a few spritzes to make an impact, which I find quite impressive. The scent is remarkably rich and warm, boasting a prominent rose geranium presence that gives off a prickly, dark green aura. As the fragrance settles, it reveals lovely notes of incense, leather, and gourmand undertones. In my opinion, this is a hidden gem deserving of attention from those who appreciate complex, leathery, and rich fragrances.
I'm not convinced by the rose geranium with incense fragrance, as the patch of sweetness is somewhat overpowered. It bears some resemblance to Oud Satin and Xerjoff Muse's jammy rose accord, although it could benefit from a bit more freshness and warmth. Unfortunately, I don't think the price tag justifies the purchase - it feels like you're paying for marketing and packaging rather than the actual scent itself. For a truly unique fragrance, I would recommend Loubirouge or Raj instead.
