This perfume bears a striking resemblance to Penhaligon's Duchess Rose, with at least an 80% similarity in my opinion. 😊
I'm unimpressed.
You receive a fleeting whiff of strawberry only to have it swiftly replaced by a powdery rose fragrance that is subsequently overwhelmed by the robust cedar note, leaving a decidedly woody impression that may not be ideal for those seeking a more prominent rose scent, as there are undoubtedly superior alternatives available.
I'm underwhelmed by this fragrance. The cedar note is overpowering and unpleasantly reminiscent of a litter box. However, the subtle skin scent is a redeeming quality, allowing me to appreciate it on a smaller scale. So far, Loubicroc has been the standout in my sampler box, outshining the other three scents I've tried.
The cedar wood note takes center stage initially, only to gradually surrender to the rose as the fragrance unfolds. The packaging is indeed stunning, and I'm fortunate enough to be exploring this collection of miniature perfumes courtesy of a thoughtful gift from my mother - I've been trying one daily, starting with day three, which has allowed me to appreciate how the cedar mellows out and allows the rose to take its rightful place in the composition.
