I purchased a sample of Oud Immortale about two weeks ago and at the time, I didn't have much interest in it. However, upon reapplication, I discovered that I quite enjoyed it. Initially, I detected a soft lemon accord with a clean quality to it. My initial impression of Oud Immortale was Aquatic, chemical, and transparent. The longevity is impressive; I sprayed it on before bed and the next morning it still lingered. What struck me as particularly interesting was its scent five or six hours later. It unexpectedly brought back a childhood memory - my father's after-smoke fragrance, which I cherished. Upon reviewing the composition, I found tobacco leaves in the base note, which is indeed effective. Nevertheless, I worry that if I wear it, some people may not appreciate the tobacco note, as most individuals I meet don't smoke, including myself. While I don't think Oud Immortale is something I truly love, I'm intrigued by it and am weighing whether or not to make a purchase.
I've lost my enthusiasm for Byredo. Over time, their fragrances haven't aged well and have become too predictable and unremarkable. While they excel at marketing, the reality is that their perfumes often fall short of expectations once you experience them. There's an opportunity for Byredo to innovate and create something truly groundbreaking.
This perfume is incredibly earthy! And I absolutely adore it. The opening notes of rich limoncello are delightful. As the fragrance dries down, it transitions into a subtle blend of oud, papyrus, and lush moss. Worth trying out! It bears some resemblance to Moss + from Commodity, but with less brightness and citrus. ⚜️
This perfume has a distinct personality that reminds me of a charming young man who exudes friendliness, freshness, and good looks. He's the type who effortlessly connects with his peers while earning respect from those older than him. His intelligence, tolerance, and unwavering honesty make him stand out. Although this scent is overwhelmingly masculine, I also catch whiffs of vintage bookshelves and sweetened condensed milk that add depth to its character.
I'm the only one who perceives a festive atmosphere when wearing this perfume? To me, it embodies the essence of winter, redolent with notes reminiscent of a pine-scented Yankee Candle, which I find utterly captivating.
