This is really really good. Too bad it’s ridiculously priced, it has mainstream appeal. So they should make a clone of this like Armaf did Creed.
A leather-dominant fragrance. Don't expect anything sweet or flowery from this one. The combination of tea, leather and oakmoss make it come off rather earthy. Nothing playful about this scent, so I doubt it would be mass appealing or get any compliments. Although it's an extrait de parfum which lasts and projects for quite a long time, it's not the type of fragrance that will get cloying. Not a blind buy and rather overpriced, but if you're into leather and earthy fragrances, you might even like it for everyday wear.
Nope. This is not it. This one wasn't what I thought it would be. Should've known better when part of the note breakdown described it as animalic. Smells like shoe polish. Glad I only got a decant of it. Perhaps if I layer it with Byredo Vanille Antique it would be more tolerable. Not for me. Next.
This opens with rich soft ambery leather and gradually morphs drastically over a couple of hours into a loud Santal 33 clone. The listed notes don’t seem right to me, which is normally the case when a house is trying to mask a clone. I mean, if this was inspired by Santal 33, Byredo aren’t going to list a sandalwood note are they? Since I hate Santal 33, I don’t view this one favourably either. The price is frankly ridiculous.
This is a review by a horse girl, for horse girls. This smells like when you walk into a tack shop, or if you stuck your nose in a new Ariat boot. The price is a bit high for what it is, but Byredo really captured that leather smell. I don't see how this is similar to Santal 33 at all.
