Reviews

While I don't hold traditional gender stereotypes about perfumes, I gave this one a higher rating, aligning with conventional ideas. I genuinely love wearing this perfume, which has a nice balance of orange blossom, rose, and citrus notes. If you're into scents that blend orange blossom with a touch of rose and citrus, this one's worth trying!

Straightforward blend of bergamot, rose, and soapy musk evokes nostalgia for classic, high-end soaps from elegant old houses. Pleasingly clean and distinctly feminine, yet a bit on the pricier side. A sample would suffice for me.

I have a personal connection with Rose Alexandrie, though it may not linger as long as other Prive perfumes and doesn't offer the same complexity. Despite this, it holds a unique place in my collection because it brings me peace when I wear it each night. Layering it with Mancera's Roses Vanille adds a new dimension to otherwise overpowering scents, balancing them beautifully.

Rose Alexandrie feels a bit misleading. The perfume’s name suggests rose, but orange blossom is what really shines through. It’s soft and sweet, with sugared rose and orange blossom notes. While I like it, there’s a slight soapiness that gives it a somewhat soapy feel, which makes me think of Philosophy's Amazing Grace—a synthetic, sweet scent that feels more like a skin fragrance than a traditional perfume. It lacks the depth and complexity of a true luxury fragrance. The price tag of $260 seems way too high for something this basic. The Privé line so far appears to lack originality, at least based on the four fragrances I’ve tried.

I have a personal connection with Rose Alexandrie, even though it may not be as long-lasting or complex as some of the Prive perfumes. While it may lack in duration and depth compared to others, for me, it stands out. Wearing it each night helps me unwind and find peace. It’s also a great fragrance to layer with others to soften their intensity. Layering it with Mancera’s Roses Vanille transforms an otherwise sweet perfume into something richer and more layered.
