The subtle nuances of this perfume are truly soothing! The initial whiff presents a powdery green accord with a subtle earthy undertone that exudes tranquility. I pick up on a fleeting hint of orange, which swiftly disappears into the background, allowing the dominant matcha to take center stage. Notably, the fig note plays a supporting role, infusing its creaminess to harmonize with the main accord rather than attempting to sweeten it.
Le Labo's tea fragrances consistently rank highest in my esteem. Thé Noir stands out as one of my all-time favorite scents, leading me to give this fragrance a try and it did not disappoint. A rich fig note with hints of sweetness, balanced by the freshness of orange and subtle greenery notes, with just a whisper of smokiness from vetiver.
The perfume initiates with a crisp, woody accord that gradually evolves into an invigorating matcha latte-inspired dry down, reminiscent of a refreshing beverage.
I am utterly enthralled by this perfume's captivating aroma, which exudes an undeniable allure. The harmonious blend of sweet and bitter notes creates a striking signature scent that effortlessly commands attention. Notably, I found the fragrance to be bright yet subtle, making it both memorable and unobtrusive. The remarkable feedback from others has only added to my appreciation, with someone already complimenting me on its presence just one day into wearing it. My enthusiasm is such that I would not hesitate to invest in a larger quantity of this enchanting scent - truly deserving of high praise!
I'm utterly enthralled by the opening notes of this perfume - they're incredibly creamy and warm with a subtle sweetness. Having experienced both the lotion and perfume versions, I must say that within the first 30 minutes, it stands out as one of my favorite green tea fragrances. Unfortunately, when it dries down, the mossy undertones start to overpower the scent, giving it an unpleasantly verdant quality reminiscent of wilting greens. It's a shame, really, as I would have loved for it to maintain its initial milky and matcha-like characteristics. Additionally, the longevity leaves much to be desired - the fragrance barely lasts two hours before fading away.
