The initial whiff was strikingly reminiscent of Oud Wood by Tom Ford! Indeed, the opening notes bore a strong resemblance to TF OW's initial five minutes, with an added touch of sharpness. As the fragrance settled, its drydown diverged from the Oud Wood comparison, evoking a scent akin to Old Spice Shower Gel due to the prominent blackberry note - although I find it quite pleasant. The longevity and sillage were respectable at 7/10 hours and 6/10 respectively. Versatility was limited, in my opinion, as this fragrance has a distinct character that may not suit everyday wear.
I was initially impressed by this perfume, but it quickly fell flat for me as the scent evolved into a conventional combination of leather and berries. In my opinion, Oud Immortel does a more intriguing job of exploring the oud genre. The new leather from Acqua di Parma is quite impressive, boasting a rich, buttery, and luxurious quality that's also potent. Unfortunately, Accord Oud fails to deliver on both fronts, presenting neither an captivating oud nor an innovative leather experience that adds anything unique to the table.
The overpowering boozy note dominates the scent, rendering it unpalatable to me, as it triggers headaches and nausea.
This perfume is truly stunning! One of the finest winter fragrances I've ever encountered, particularly during Swedish winters. The union of oud and leather is always pleasing, but here with blackberries, it elevates the scent to a whole new dimension. The longevity is impressive, lasting at least five hours on my skin, and the projection is decent as well. It doesn't overwhelm, yet neither does it cling to the skin. Although the price might be somewhat steep, I believe every cent is justified for this exceptional winter fragrance in my collection!
A delightful fruity oud fragrance with a notable absence of projection and lingering presence, making it less than satisfying for me.
