Is it possible that this perfume lacks a distinct scent? I've found that even after spraying the sample on myself and paper, I'm unable to detect any noticeable fragrance. It's unfortunate, as I have a soft spot for nutty, almond notes.
Here is the paraphrased comment: I'm no expert, so I'll just share my honest thoughts. The scent is rich and luxurious, like a man who enjoys fine things. I imagine it on a wealthy retired dentist of Middle Eastern origin, with a chain of clinics and an art collection in his retirement. It's not feminine to me, but rather the way Arabic men exude luxury. I also get flashes of early 2000s Hollister or Abercrombie scents. While others say it projects strongly, I find it an intimate skin scent, like a warm welcome to a fancy hotel room. You can't help but be drawn in by its warmth, richness, and seductiveness. Once others mentioned it, I picked up on that sweet fluoride note. If this dentist were a hippie podiatrist instead, he'd wear Diptyque Tam Dao. But beware - this scent is a beast of projection and silage!
This perfume is truly exceptional. I want to clarify things for those who don't fully understand its appeal - if you've ever caught a whiff of this on someone, you'll agree that it exudes opulence, refinement, and high-end sophistication. Its distinctiveness sets it apart, and interestingly, even though it's primarily synthetic, the quality of these synthetics is what makes them exceptional. They're not cheap or inferior ones.
The brother recently purchased this perfume, and in my opinion, it is overhyped. I'm having trouble putting its scent into words as it's unlike anything I've ever smelled before. Honestly, I thought it would have a more pleasing aroma. One aspect I will give credit to is its impressive longevity – the fragrance becomes even stronger when the temperature rises.
This perfume maintains its presence on the skin for a full 24 hours. While the initial four hours may be overpowering due to a prominent top note, the last twenty hours reveal a truly exceptional fragrance. It's challenging to put into words what Baccarat smells like, but it has a distinct and pleasing quality. Notably, many people develop a tolerance to this scent quickly, although I've experienced less of this phenomenon with the extrait than the eau de parfum. Interestingly, those who do become desensitized can still detect its presence on others, so caution is advised when applying Baccarat in public settings.
