Costa Azzurra Acqua

Costa Azzura Acqua is a beautiful scent that transports you to a yacht in the middle of the Azzure Coast, smelling the clean balmy salty breeze of the French Riveria. A fantastic scent for summer and possibly spring. The fragrance is delightfully resinous and camphorous. However, and this is so sad to say, the performance is lacking and it really rather quickly becomes a skin scent. You really need to be wearing this in high heat for it to really shine, and living in the U.K. this means I have to reserve this for my holidays. Love the smell, dislike the performance. It seems that most of TFs fresher scents aren’t very long lasting, apart from maybe the fougeres (GV and BdJ).

Not tried the original, so i can't speak for that one. It opens fresh and green. Very piney and cypress with freshness from ozonic notes. Settles into a woody and aquatic scent with hints of amber. Aquatic scents with Woods comes off masculine so this is quite well done where woods is there, but not the dry type. It stays aquatic, just the woods that gives it a masculine touch. With the typical TF DNA. Only downside is that the aquatic note is the same cheap type you've smelled many times before in aquatic designers.. And because of that , it's nothing you haven't smelled before.

This is very fresh, herbal, and woody when first sprayed. I adore the slight resinous undertone of the pine, cypress, and especially juniper, but I don't get tons of citrus at any point. Comparatively, Costa Azzurra is definitely warmer and woodier. The Acqua is cooler, fresher, with more citrus, whereas the regular Costa Azzurra is more of a primarily fresh spicy experience. I like this in the same way I like Molton Brown Coastal Cypress and Sea Fennel. It has a similar marine, fresh, balsam vibe without the prominent leather note that the Molton Brown has. Also, on me the Acqua lasts longer and projects better, which is not what I'd expected. In my collection, the Acqua is more unique and up my alley, frankly. It would be an absolutely perfect summer fragrance. Moral of the story - Costa Azzurra and it's Acqua are worlds apart on me. Don't assume they will be similar just because one is a flanker - test first.

This is not fresher, is just lighter and more green, leafy. Smelling the original made me think I'm somewhere in the Amalfi Coast, on a boat, at sunset, surrounded by electric blue sea, purple sky and tough, tall and green coasts, well this one is like standing right on the coast, smelling the trees and the wet cliffs.

This is Phenomenal for our Texas weather. A very nicely stripped down version of the original. This is good as get for a summer designer/niche shelf scent. I prefer this one, its less muddled than the original. Way nicer. One of the better aquatics thats very masculine and still receives compliments. This goes in my rotation for the summer with Bvlgari Aqva and Creed Virgin Island water. I recommend it your looking for a good aquatic for ages 25 +. A good buy
