Does Civet serve as the base here? As far as I can tell, it's entirely white floral, with jasmine or tuberose overtones. It’s quite enjoyable but doesn’t stick around for more than an hour.
Combining the best elements of Neroli Portofino and Champaca Absolute creates Fleur de Portofino. It feels like a floral version of Neroli Portofino or a brighter, citrusy twist on Champaca Absolute. In the 4-piece Neroli Portofino collection, it stands out because it doesn’t share the same longevity issue as the others. The fragrance is fresh, floral, and citrusy with just a hint of sweetness. I can pick out neroli, jasmine, magnolia, lemon, mandarin, sea salt, and honey in the mix. While I usually don’t like sweet scents, the honey here adds a smooth, creamy note without being overwhelming. However, there was one time I found it overwhelming when it started to smell like overly ripe bananas on my skin. Still, I came back to it, and now it’s one of my favorites. Everyone’s chemistry is different, so be warned that this can change dramatically based on how it interacts with your body. Right now, I’m really enjoying it and would love to get a full bottle to keep it as part of my collection.
The perfume opens with a rich blend of creamy jasmine, honey, musk, and a bright burst of citrus. It has a strong presence initially, lasting about a minute before gradually softening into a smooth mix of creamy honey and jasmine with a subtle musk base. While it projects well at first, the scent becomes faint and disappears quickly after about an hour and 30 minutes, leaving behind only a light soapy residue that's hard to detect unless you really focus. Overall, while it’s a beautiful fragrance, its longevity is lacking—it doesn’t last long on the skin, especially with my preference for white florals, which this perfume seems to struggle with significantly.
This scent is just amazing; I'd buy two bottles without hesitation.
I'm not quite getting the fragrance breakdown for Fleur de Portofino. It seems to me like it's heavily dominated by jasmine, giving off a lighter, somewhat aquatic vibe—almost like a summery version of TF Jasmin Rouge, which I know is one of the most intoxicating jasmine perfumes out there.
