This smells nearly identical to Antica Farmacista Tarmac. You may not want to hear that but take a sniff of the Tarmac candle, diffuser, body lotion or soap and you will know. Huge price difference.

Okay, I really liked this one. Like, REALLY liked this. The orris is SPECTACULAR. Amazing, even. There is a wonderful earthy-porcelain dough-like nature to it. There's no sweetness, no floral elements, just a wonderful orris chewiness. I need to live in this and really see how much I REALLY like it. Great first impression...

I was surprised to see that there wasn't cedar in this, as on first sniff it was all woody, minty, sage. It smells like cutting down a cedar tree during winter. Or like going to a fancy little plant shop in the pacific north west. I always feel really cool and outdoorsy when i wear it. My brother said it smells like a clean hamster cage though, so ymmv lol

An interesting fragrance, kinda daring and unique. Better suited for hot weather. The opening is a bit chaotic to my nose, there is a strong herbal and earthy vibe to it thanks to the sage, resinous too, with something giving a bit of a "pine needle on an hot soil" vibe to the juice. Think of a less herbal and aromatic Escentric 05, but with some note inside giving this "hot landscape" vibe. From the opening it smells like a good performing scent but it gets close to the skin pretty soon. It's really dry at this point and the sour mirabelle kicks in during the mid giving a new vibe to the scent, a bit fruitier, but not sweet and the opening settles a bit. The drydown is my favourite stage and is really solid, every note is well balanced, a good amount of sage, mirabelle and ambroxan. There is this bitter-sour-dry vibe present with a slightly creamy facet and which gives this juice a lot of interest. The smell lasts quite a long time but doesn't project really strongly. There is something inside it that reminds me a bit of Escentric 05 as I wrote earlier, especially in the opening, and not so much after this stage, where I picture really hot, almost desertic landscapes where the air is really warm and you can smell the resin from the trees. I've never been to LA or California, but from the name of the scent and the vibe it gives me I say this is a well-named fragrance for one of the most interesting Byredo.

It smells quite tangy like the Asian or Mexican tamarind candies and I'm amazed at how this perfume can smell like that. It stayed linear in the skin with a low projection. Not a safe blind buy but it definitely smelled unique.
