Café Rose

This fragrance exudes a stunning elegance, with its sweet, refined, and dark rose essence reminiscent of high-end sophistication. The subtle coffee undertone is so tantalizing that it borders on the gourmand realm, making my senses crave more. This scent is truly irresistible, leaving me feeling pampered and indulgent as I continually find myself drawn to its alluring aroma.

I rarely purchase a fragrance that matches its tester or sample, yet I still get drawn in. However, my focus has shifted towards Middle Eastern houses, which offer better value, higher-quality ingredients, and a distinct approach to their craft and final product. It's as if we've been misled with our full-priced purchases.

This perfume is not memorable to me. 🤔

Treating myself to a delightful indulgence by devouring 1300 pages of tedious reading, this decant is a reward worth savoring. A luscious, intense red rose unfurls with notes of patchouli, reminiscent of Gres Caberet but with a more enduring presence. While Gres leaned heavily on patchouli, I think Cafe Rose balances the two elements more evenly. The subtle incense woven throughout adds depth and sensuality to the rose. Unfortunately, I detect no distinct coffee note, which was initially what drew me to this fragrance; instead, it becomes another complex rose-patchouli scent, albeit with a richer tone than many others.

As someone who formerly detested rose notes in a scent, THIS masterpiece somehow has the magical power to convert me into a rose enthusiast. It's easy to imagine how it would captivate a true rose aficionado! Tom Ford's fragrances consistently evoke a sense of comfort, familiarity, and nostalgia in me, accompanied by a pang of sadness and poignant beauty. Each of his perfumes subtly reminds me of someone or an emotion I've experienced before, despite being certain that no one from my life wears TF fragrances.
