MASTERPIECE. Probably my fav from BDK after having smelled 10 of their fragrances. It's perfectly unisex, unlike others from this house that claim they're unisex but are instead very masculine. Full bottle worthy. For me, this replaces TF Tobacco Vanille. I don’t have much experience with a leather note but in here it’s so creamy and beautiful, doesn’t overpower the other notes. Reminds me also of BDK Velvet Tonka (my other BDK favourite), but Vanille Leather is not as light and is more masculine giving it the perfect unisex quality. I also get that this is violet-heavy but I have no problem with that. God this is so good.
This is alright. It pulls (on my skin) almost entirely of tropical and animalic tuberose notes for the entire wear which is around 4 hours. After that, it’s a subtle and thin vanilla-ish skin scent. There is absolutely NO leather (again, on my skin) so I am very confused as to why this is called Vanille Leather. Now, the tuberose in this feels very waxy in a leather-y kind of way so I guess that’s how it figures? I will use my 5 ml sample and move on from this one as I do not think it is full bottle worthy. I highly recommend sampling this first if you are able…
the name is a lie, bought a sample thinking this was going to be a nice warm vanilla and leather scent, but i was wrong, ofc i did research and read the notes and rewievs but still, on me i only smell two main things. 1. tuberose 2 jasmine. obviusly there is a sliht hint of vanilla to make it sweet but the main thing about this scent is a white floral based one.
Hm, I expected more from this. Where is Jasmine? Is this supposed to be Violet? I just don't know what to take from this. It is a bit rough and peppery, but mostly Vanilla, vanilla, vanilla. Not a fan, just a personal thing. I will leave this one to someone who'll love it more. Edit: After a few days, I didn't get the urge to try this again. I didn't even finish my 1.7ml sample. I think I can safely conclude that I should move on.
Pulls vanilla and floral for me. No leather notes.
