Reviews

The reviewer's point about the amount of ginger is well-taken: it's not as prominent as one might expect. I've been wearing Twilly Eau Ginger for several hours, and its fragrance remains impressive. The scent is remarkable, with a soapy quality that's almost perfect. As the top notes fade away, the original Twilly emerges in a subtle and refined way. The dry down is cleaner and brighter, with a dry and bitter aftertaste that's reminiscent of Aura Idôle. The unexpected dry down on my skin gives me echoes of Eau Poivrée, making it worthwhile to have both versions in my collection. Despite its summery appearance, this perfume doesn't feel like a traditional summer scent. I couldn't detect any candied ginger or ginger powder, and the aroma is surprisingly fresh. While my nose may not always be reliable, I still recommend trying Eau Ginger for yourself. It's possible that I'll develop a new appreciation for it in the future. Overall, I gave this perfume a "splendid" rating.

This perfume diverges from its DNA and floral cousin in every way except for those shared characteristics. On my skin, it manifests as a floral bouquet with prominent notes of ginger, eschewing any cloying sweetness. I also detect subtle lemon and powdery iris undertones. As the scent dries down, it takes on a decidedly musky quality, punctuated by an almost spicy cumin nuance. The final drydown reveals an ambery, woody profile reminiscent of creamy sandalwood before settling into a gentle, skin-like fragrance with a subtle dry cedar undertone.

One of the most unusual perfumes I've encountered, leaving me with an unpleasant physical reaction. Despite not being put off by its individual notes, the overall scent is reminiscent of a women's public restroom in a busy mall, making it difficult for me to appreciate.

This scent has a peculiar, almost medicinal quality on my skin, reminiscent of a combination of baking soda and benzoin. I detect notes of galangale rather than ginger, with the cedarwood subtly embedded within this blend. If you're in the mood for something that evokes a sense of a pharmacy, then this might be an acceptable choice.

This scent embodies the essence of sporty freshness, ideal for invigorating outdoor pursuits that leave me feeling revitalized and rejuvenated. Even at an advanced age, I still experience a youthful energy and vitality when wearing this perfume, as if it's defying time and refreshing my senses.
