The presence of Oakmoss (Evernia Prunastri) is prominently mentioned on the packaging, yet it's conspicuously absent from the listed notes.

This perfume might just be my top scent within the Jardins collection, possibly even one I'll cherish forever. A captivating fragrance that continually draws me in, it strikes a perfect balance between refreshing and comforting - I find myself repeatedly seeking another whiff.

On initial sniff, this perfume is not quite to my liking, with an overwhelming bitterness and grassy notes that dominate the senses. However, as it settles, I find myself appreciating its unique character and distinct freshness, which has grown on me significantly. While it may not be the first scent I'd reach for, it's still a worthwhile blind buy in my opinion, and its unusual combination of fig leaf and herbs might even suit someone else better - perhaps my boyfriend.

Fascinating fragrance indeed! I'd love to revisit this scent on a warm summer's day 🌞. My significant other has an uncanny ability to pick up on scents that evoke strong childhood memories - I'm convinced it was the cypress note for him too! 😊 The overall aura is truly enchanting, and I can envision how magical it would be in the heat 🔥

Un Jardin en Méditerranée stands out for its extremely woody characteristic among the rest of the line. After testing all the Jardin perfumes, this one is particularly dry, starting with a strong "fig leaf" note that's not fresh or watery but rather dry... at times, it reminds me of actual dry tobacco leaves, and it has a very natural fig leaf scent. It's surrounded by the classic "Jardin DNA" green, spicy, and crisp notes. When I think of Méditerranée, I expect a "sea note" presence, but this fragrance doesn't have one, nor is there any saltiness. The scent remains relatively consistent from opening to dry down, staying true to its fig leaf and green profile. Rating: 8/10 for the natural fig leaf scent and niche quality. Project: 7/10, as it falls short of La Mousson but surpasses other options. Longevity: 6/10, with a relatively short duration of around 4 hours. While I don't adore this scent, its quality and naturalness make it hard to dislike. If you appreciate niche fragrances and fig scents, you might just love it.
