Twilly d'Hermès Eau Poivrée Eau de Parfum

This exudes luxury and sophistication, with an understated elegance that doesn't beg for attention. The pepper is noticeable, yet it's not overwhelming. Throughout its early hours, I'm treated to subtle, lovely nuances, which gradually settle into a soft, skin-like presence. While the fragrance remains linear, it's pleasantly distinct from other recent designer releases and has a unique charm. Having never experienced the original Twilly, my appreciation for this perfume is perhaps heightened; nonetheless, it makes an excellent work scent.

This perfume diverges significantly from its original Twilly EDP counterpart. Peppercorns take center stage in the Eau Poivree version. The scent still carries that unpolished, slightly rough DNA often found in designer fragrances like Jimmy Choo. I would not recommend this unless you're looking for a bold, attention-grabbing fragrance and are particularly fond of peppercorns.

I thoroughly enjoy this fragrance on my skin. The original formula didn't impress me, but this reworked version is a refined designer perfume with subtle niche undertones. It begins with a powdery rose infused with patchouli notes. As the dry down settles, it becomes a soft powder with fresh cut roses, while the peppery note remains present yet understated. I've worn it daily and am now utterly enamored. This scent is perfect for everyday wear, suitable for both personal and professional settings, as it leaves a lingering unique rose fragrance that's not overpowering.

I'm particularly fond of rose fragrances, especially those with spicy undertones. While the Twilly perfume doesn't quite meet my standards for richness and strength, I would still consider wearing it if offered. Its subtle nature, despite containing spices, makes it an ideal option for a professional setting.
