Reviews

I'm utterly convinced that this fragrance is a direct reflection of the perfumer's daily routine, specifically the moment when she irons her garments. The aroma transported me to a scene where I can almost see the hot iron heating up freshly laundered fabrics, releasing the sweet bouquet of soft floral detergent as the steam rises from the sizzling metal.

The scent is surprisingly distinct on skin compared to paper or fabric, exhibiting contrasting characteristics depending on the day. While it may appeal to me at times, other days it feels overwhelming and I'd prefer a fresh start. Unsurprisingly, this fragrance doesn’t convey masculinity; in fact, its youthful quality makes it more suitable for a teenage girl. Those who dislike metallic notes will likely be disappointed, as they play a significant role here. The presence of green bananas is notable, accompanied by a sweeter aspect reminiscent of mangoes. The overall impression is akin to combining the crisp freshness of an ironed shirt with the sweet aroma of bananas and mangos. While this fragrance embodies the distinct Hermes style, its uniqueness doesn’t quite win me over; it's merely satisfactory rather than exceptional.

Hermes H24 turned out to be a lackluster launch from Hermes, leaving me perplexed by the widespread "masterpiece" reviews.

Not imperative, but a pleasant addition to one's perfume repertoire for warm-weather days. A crisp, metallic, green banana fragrance that slices through the heat with ease. It has a very clean and refreshing scent. However, it is not something I would typically wear during non-summer months, as there are other fragrances I prefer in milder temperatures.

My initial impression of this perfume was a strong resemblance to a typical barber shop scent, which wasn't quite to my taste. However, after allowing it to settle for a few minutes, I noticed a subtle shift towards a richer, more refined fragrance reminiscent of Acqua Di Gio Absolu. Unfortunately, the sweetness still overpowered the other notes, making it unappealing to me; ultimately, it's been relegated to a drawer and hasn't seen much use since then.
